Why Your E-commerce Store Needs More Than a Website

A good-looking storefront is maybe 30% of what makes an e-commerce business work in India. The rest is operational plumbing that customers never see but immediately feel when it's missing.

Payment gateway reliability matters more than payment gateway choice. Razorpay, Cashfree, or PayU all work — what breaks stores is not handling webhook failures, retries, and partial payment states gracefully. We build every checkout flow assuming payments will occasionally fail mid-transaction, and design recovery paths for that from day one.

Inventory sync across channels is the second big gap. If you're selling on your own site plus Amazon or a WhatsApp catalog, stock counts need to sync in near real-time, or you'll oversell and damage customer trust fast.

Delivery partner integration — Delhivery, Shiprocket, or a regional courier — needs to feed tracking data back into your order status automatically. Customers messaging you to ask 'where is my order' is a support cost that a proper integration eliminates entirely.

We design e-commerce projects around this operational backbone first, then build the storefront on top of it — not the other way around.
